Jim Arnold is a leading Texas-based equine photographer. Mr Arnold has been photographing cutting horses since 1996 and prides himself in being able to capture horses at the peak of their performance, revealing their personalities and athleticism in numerous equestrian publications, Including Quarter Horse News, and The Cutting Horse Chatter.
Mr. Arnold started photographing cutting horses at weekend events and then regional futurities such as the Waco Futurity and Bluebonnet Stakes. Beginning with the 2012 NCHA Futurity, Mr Arnold has been working with Hart Photography photographing the Mercuria World Championships and the NYCHA Championships and Scholarship events. In addition he photographs the Futurity, Super Stakes and Summer Spectacular events from alternative points of view.
Mr. Arnold has been photographing the Western Bloodstock sales since the Summer of 2004, providing images of high selling lots and flavor of sale images during the Futurity, Super Stakes and Summer Spectacular Sales, as well as other ranch-based sales. He has also photographed the Texas based Thoroughbred Race Horse sales for the Texas Thoroughbred Association and “The Bloodhorse.” Beginning with the Summer Yearling Sale, he will be photographing the sales for WB Thoroughbred Sales.
